The Brown Bag Cafe

Posted by nicola mae

After leaving Bellingham, I needed to find a good breakfast joint. A month ago, my boyfriend and I visited The Brown Bag Cafe in Kirkland. Rustic and charming, the food matched the decor. The portions are huge and the food is tasty. The service is good. I liked this restaurant but it doesn’t seem unique and there aren’t really any healthy choices besides salad. I returned a second time and had their Patty Melt. This sandwich was quite tasty (perhaps the best I’ve ever had). I like the beef they use.

I’m used to breakfast joints like Calico Cupboard or Old Town Cafe where the rustic charm meets healthy and tasty. I was looking for that. While The Brown Bag Cafe doesn’t have that same flair, it is good. I think, in this case, it is a matter of personal breakfast choice. I would recommend this place to a breakfast feaster wanting good potatoes and eggs for breakfast.
